Pinwheel

Spin, frozen — angled blades chasing each other around the hub.

The pinwheel takes the spiral's motion and makes it playful: discrete angled blades chasing one another around a hub, like the toy stuck in a summer garden. It's the lightest-hearted of the radial patterns — movement with a grin.

About the pinwheel pattern

Blades read differently from arms or rays: each one is a bold solid shape, so the pattern stays graphic at distances where finer line-work dissolves. That makes pinwheel a strong choice for outdoor pieces seen from the street — garden stakes, gate medallions, playground decor.

Every blade roots to the hub and the outer field in one connected sheet, with the bar width setting the gap between blades. Density adds blades for a turbine read or removes them for a classic four-vane toy; rotation clocks the spin.
