Starflower
Half star, half bloom — the barn emblem with petals.
Starflower fuses two of the most-loved emblems in folk decoration — the pointed star and the open flower — into a single radial figure: petal-tipped points alternating around a center. It's the pattern that reads as Americana on a barn and as a rosette on a garden gate.
About the starflower pattern
Folk traditions from Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs to quilt blocks have leaned on exactly this hybrid because it carries both geometry's order and botany's warmth. On steel, the crisp points and soft petals play against each other, and the figure stays legible from far off.
The motif anchors to the surrounding field at every point and petal, cutting as one sound sheet. Scale sets the figure size, rotation clocks the points, and density shifts the balance between star and bloom.
