Mandala
A radial meditation — rings of petals resolving around a center.
The mandala — Sanskrit for "circle" — is the radial diagram Hindu and Buddhist traditions use to map the cosmos, and the form modern makers reach for when a wall needs a focal point. This generator builds one parametrically: concentric rings of petals and lace resolving outward from a shared center.
About the mandala pattern
Radial symmetry is why mandalas command attention: every sightline leads back to the middle, so a single medallion can anchor a whole wall or gate the way a rose window anchors a cathedral facade. Cut in steel and shadow-mounted an inch off the wall, the pattern doubles as the shadow it throws.
The rings are joined by radial spokes, keeping the medallion one connected piece at any size. Scale sets the overall medallion diameter, density adds or removes detail rings, and rotation lets you clock the petals. Try it on the circle or octagon panel outline for a true medallion blank.
